Budget Mera Peak Climbing

Embark on an exhilarating 15-day journey to conquer Mera Peak (6,461m/21,216ft), a spectacular adventure set amidst the tranquil and secluded landscapes of Khumbu and Inkhu valleys. While these valleys are seldom explored by trekkers, they offer unparalleled beauty and a sense of remote wilderness.

Mera Peak boasts multiple climbing routes, ranging from moderate to challenging. The South ridge, facing North and East, presents a formidable challenge, while the Northeast ridge is particularly daunting. The North-west edge and West face routes are also feasible but require traversing the rugged Khare glacier, adding an extra layer of difficulty. Nevertheless, summiting Mera Peak is an immensely gratifying experience, as it stands among Nepal's most renowned peaks.

Your journey commences with a scenic flight to Lukla, providing breathtaking views of the Everest region. From Lukla, the trek leads southward to Chutanga, following the Dudh Koshi River towards Thuli Kharka. Continuing onwards, you'll ascend to Thangnak before reaching the lofty Mera La Pass (5,045m). As you approach Mera Peak Base Camp, be prepared to be mesmerized by panoramic vistas of the Everest and Charpate Himal ranges.

The final leg of the trek culminates in the ascent to Mera Peak's summit (6,461m), traversing steep snowy terrain and overcoming exhilarating challenges along the way. From the pinnacle's apex, soak in awe-inspiring views of iconic Himalayan giants, including Mt. Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Kanchenjunga, and Cho-Oyu, making this expedition an unforgettable adventure of a lifetime.
